This year in our Introduction to visual arts class we have done a variety of projects that all use different techniques. This “self-portrait” project focused on the technique of using ink with various tips. We all chose a word that related to us (my word was dream) and we copied a book or music page then began our project. My favorite part of this project was seeing the outcome and being able to compare the picture of myself in ink to real life. I also enjoyed using the new technique of ink rather than the typical pencil or paint. 

This year, we had a project to create a portfolio using different types of lines. These were some of the lines I drew based on different designs I looked at. This process was done by creating different boxes where I would then draw my designs on the inside. I really enjoyed this project and can’t wait to continue learning about the visual arts!
